Thanks to some AMAZING collectors, we were able to donate $200 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital from our 2017 Topps Series 2 charity case break! Phenomenal!

Our next charity case break coming up is one of my annual favorites, Topps Museum Collection. It’s actually LQ’s favorite thing to break each year (because HITS). We’ll be busting that case up in your face at 5pm C on Friday June 23 2017, so be sure to come back here then to watch and chat, or come back later to watch the replay! Don’t worry. If there are any code cards this time, I’ll be sure to keep the codes off camera. *WINK*

If you missed it, check out both our Series 2 break recap video AND our Series 2 Gut Reaction review video below! Thanks, enjoy, and we’ll see you Friday night!

It’s been a while since we’ve done a case break for charity, and I’m super pumped to get this one rolling! We’ll be tearing into one hobby case of 2017 Topps Series 2 along with 12 silver packs at 1pm C, and we’re raising money that will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! Come back then to watch us rip and join the chat, or come back later to catch the replay!

Our exclusive pre-sale is over, and now it’s time for YOU to grab your spots for our first charity case break of the year! For the first time ever, we’ll be busting through a hobby case instead of a jumbo case, and 10% of each spot taken will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We do include skunk protection of $5 per spot which you can either keep or donate. Barring any delays, the break is scheduled to begin at 5pm C on Saturday February 6 2016 and will be broadcast from our YouTube channel. To check out more break details and to grab your spots, just head up to the Crackin’ Wax Case Breaks menu at the top of the blog, then click on 2016 Topps S1.

Upon checkout, you will be taken to the skunk protection page. PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THIS PAGE! It is important for you to fill out the forms on this page so that we know if you want to keep or donate your skunk protection.

Miss out on the exclusive pre-sale? Want to get in on future pre-sales? All you have to do is subscribe to our Group Breaks Mailing Lists and keep your eyes glued to your inbox for future breaks!

The last couple of nights were pretty darned fun, if you ask me. If you missed it and would rather not sit through about 6 hours worth of video, here’s a basic recap of what happened.

We were due 10 boxes, received 11 and busted 12. Blowout cards tossed in (possibly by accident) an extra box and I decided to throw in a jumbo box of Topps 13S2 as a thank you to all you amazing, generous wax crackers that joined in and helped me give to a great cause.

2005 Topps Rookie Cup Baseball, 2004 Bowman Chrome, 2005 Topps Retired Baseball (not pictured), 1997 Topps Finest Baseball Series One, 1993 Bowman, 2005 Bowman First Edition, 2007 Topps Heritage, 2001 Topps Reserve, 2001 Topps Gold Label, 2001 Topps Chrome Series 2, 2005 Topps Series 1 and 2013 Topps Series 2.

Due to the nature of this particular break, there was absolutely no guarantee that we’d get any hits at all. Thankfully, we got a good handful of ’em! There was a dud or two, but the best was saved for last–an absolute MONSTER hit was pulled out of the very last pack from the extra box of Topps 13S2!

A sweet Pujols “Late Edition” foilboard rookie card and an amazing Mike Trout auto round out the hits from this break. The redemption cards are a bit disappointing, but there’s a small chance that Topps might still do something with them.

From all of the slots in the break, we raised $150. An additional $5 was thrown in by reader Alex O., bringing the total up to $155. I decided to throw in some extra cash to bump it up to an even $200.

Thank you so much once again to everyone that joined the break and donated to this wonderful charity. I certainly hope you had fun and will enjoy your eclectic set of cards! I hope you’ll consider throwing your name into the hat for some great prizes for the Allen & Ginter Charity Case Break coming up in August–part of one prize is from a current MLB player! You ladies and gents are all amazing and I’m very grateful to have you as followers!

The cards are all sorted. I’ll be spending the next day or two packing and labeling them. My hope is that I will be shipping your cards out to you by Monday.
