PLEASE READ THIS PAGE FULLY BEFORE JOINING ANY BREAK CONDUCTED BY CRACKIN’ WAX
It is your sole responsibility to know and understand the rules and procedures of these breaks before proceeding. By joining, participating in and paying for any spot in any break, you agree to the rules and conditions posted below. Crackin’ Wax cannot and shall not be held responsible or liable for failure to adhere to this agreement.
THE GENERAL GIST
All cards contained within each respective box and/or case will be used for each break. You pick the spot(s) you would like, pay for your spot(s), and we’ll send you your new cards after the break! You WILL receive at least ONE (1) card in any Crackin’ Wax Break that you join!
TYPICAL PRICING MODEL
We first add up typical break costs (product costs; expected shipping and supplies; and predicted PayPal fees) then add a 15% markup for taxes (federal and state) and operational costs (maintaining our website, p.o. box rental, etc.). This gives us our Total Break Cost for a given break. We then break down any checklists pertinent to a given break. We first look for product quantity (i.e. how many Base, Inserts, and Hits on the checklist for each individual team). Next, we adjust for current market quality (i.e. which players/teams on the checklist impact the cost of product the most). Once quantity and quality of product is determined, we split the Total Break Cost among spots. These spots could be individual teams, combination of teams, divisions, etc. Any amount left over after our costs are covered is considered our Profit.
Each of our breaks at Crackin’ Wax is run for charity. We donate 10% of our Net Profits, 10% of our Tips, and 100% of Donations (minus PayPal Fees) to charities of our choice throughout the year.
Most of the Profit we make from breaks goes back into Crackin’ Wax, while the rest goes to charity. If you enjoy what we do here, want to show your support for us, and want to help us raise even more for charity, we highly encourage you to toss a few coins our way. Thank you!
All breaks will be broadcast live on the Crackin’ Wax YouTube Channel after either all spots have been fully paid or after the product arrives–whichever comes last*. This scheduling condition is subject to change for each respective break. We will be focusing more on the hits and other cards of interest in order to keep the video at a reasonable length. Video of each break will be available on the Crackin’ Wax YouTube Channel.
In the event that a card of any type containing multiple players from multiple teams is pulled, that card will be distributed thusly:
- The team majority owner of the card (i.e. 2 Team A + 1 Team B on 1 card goes to Team A owner), or
- The spot majority owner of the card (i.e. 1 Team A + 1 Team B + 1 Team C on 1 card goes to owner with most spots on card), or
- Highest spot price owner (i.e. 1 $10 Team + 1 $5 Team + 1 $2 Team on 1 card goes to highest spot price), or
- Random highest spot price owner (i.e. 1 $5 Team A + 1 $5 Team B + 1 $2 Team C on 1 card goes to randomly picked winner)
In the event that a card is pulled in which the team represented is now playing in another city and/or has changed names, it will be assigned to its current counterpart’s spot. For instance, all Montreal Expos cards will be assigned to the Washington Nationals.
