I returned to the hobby in 2007 after a prolonged hiatus. In doing so, I managed to discover great blogs within the hobby such as A Cardboard Problem, Cardboard Junkie, Dinged Corners, Night Owl Cards, and Wax Heaven. Inspired, I made the decision to open up my own blog. On December 6, 2008, I posted my very first article. While my article submissions have declined severely over the last several years, I have otherwise adhered to our mission statement for ten solid years.
In those ten wonderful years, we have slowly transitioned from pure blogger to charity breaker. We have grown a tight-knit community of smart, caring, generous collectors who love the hobby and love to give back. We have fostered relationships and made friends. The hobby has helped us form and strengthen connections. When we look back at the last ten years, we are humbled by all that YOU have done for us.
We want to honor and thank all those who have built Crackin’ Wax over the span of a decade to what it is today. Whether you followed along during our blogging days or have supported our charity efforts, we want to celebrate with you! Towards the end of 2018, we will be hosting a free case break. More details about this celebration will arrive in the coming weeks. Our case has already been selected, and we can’t wait to crack that wax in December!
Before we commit to hosting this 10th Anniversary Free Case Break, we want to know if YOU would like to join. To tell us, all you need to do is simply subscribe to our YouTube channel. That’s it! If we are able to reach 1000 subscribers, the celebration will be on.
Thank you for being part of our small corner of the hobby and, as always, keep crackin’ that wax!
