I suppose I could have picked a better day to tell everyone about this. Being that it’s April Fools’ Day, you might dismiss this as a joke, but I assure you, it’s completely serious.

As some of my closest friends and family already know, I’ve been itching to get back into music. What even they don’t know is that I’ve actually gone and done it. For about the last year and a half I’ve been working endlessly to write and perfect an album’s-worth of solo material. Much like I had done with some demo songs in the past, I’m playing all the instruments—and singing! During my month off from work, I finally had enough time to get into a studio and make a real go of it. My homemade demos were fine, but I wanted this to be as clean and grandiose as possible. Last night, I worked my tail off to finally get the finishing touches done on the production side of the CD and, frankly, I’m just too damned excited to wait any longer to share my hard work with you.

I don’t know where this may take me. Who knows, maybe I’ll finally be able to pick up the sticks again and play the local clubs for a living. Maybe someone important will catch wind of my CD and fall in love with it and make big things happen. At this point, that’s all pie-in-the-sky and if it happens, it happens. But for now, I just want to share with you a little piece of what I have put so much effort, blood, sweat and tears into for so long now. In fact, it’ll be one more big-ticket item checked off my bucket list.

  1. Are there any demos or any place you can go to get a sample of any of these songs?
