Trade Completed: Cardboard Conundrum

Trade Completed
It’s a Trade Conundrum!
(…better than a trade palindrome…)

Sadly, it’s been a very long time since I’ve completed and posted about a blog-to-blog trade. Happily, I am finally able to do so right now! On one of my nightly jaunts through my usual cardboard blogging haunts I came across a Twins RC AU that I didn’t even know I needed. Matt over at Cardboard Conundrum happened to have a couple to spare and baited me with them but good!

What caught my eye was a 2009 Bowman Chrome Bobby Lanigan Blue Refractor RC AU. I let him know that I was interested, and the trade was smooth sailing from there. Eventually, we settled on a trade for my recently pulled ’12 Topps S1 Frank Robinson Stitches manupatch.

Trade

While, for some reason, the Robinson manupatch had gone on eBay for $20, $12 and $10, I felt it was a reasonable trade. Lanigan is currently in the Twins’ Minor League system. Last season he tossed for the AA squad going 8-9 with a 4.45 ERA. He was drafted in the 3rd Round by the Twins in 2008 and has yet to make it past double-A ball. Normally I wouldn’t trade for a prospect with little-to-no chance of making it to the Big Leagues, but I couldn’t pass up this card. Isn’t it so… SHINY?!

Trading with Matt at Cardboard Conundrum was quick, easy and fun (insert your own joke here___________). I can definitely recommend swapping cardboard with him and encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience!

DO YOU HAS?
I am always looking for just about any Twins RC AUs (rookie card autographs). If you have any that you’re willing to give up, PLEASE let me know! Thanks!
